How the Expungement Process Works
If your drug possession case is eligible for expungement in Oregon, the process is relatively straightforward. Here’s what to expect:
First, you’ll need to pick up a fingerprint card. These can easily be found at a local law enforcement agency, a legal products store, or anywhere that issues passport photos.
Sign the declaration I draft for you, and return it to me along with your fingerprint card, to our Oregon law office.
The final steps of this process take about 3 to 5 months. During this time, you’ll be waiting for the OSP background check, District Attorney review, and expungement motion to be granted and signed. Upon receipt, our firm will mail you the signed expungement order.
If you are confused about anything or have questions throughout this process, our expungement attorney will be happy to assist and answer any questions.
